WHAT IS SOUND HEALING?
Sound therapy has been used for millennia across various cultures to heal and uplift the human body, mind and spirit. The ancient gong & Tibetan bowls produce complex, deeply penetrating sound waves that cut through subconscious chatter and regenerate the parasympathetic nervous system. The listener is lulled into an instant, theta state of meditational REM resulting in deep relaxation and healing.
WHAT IS A GONG / TIBETAN BOWL / SOUND BATH?
Each group Sound Bath session begins with a gentle warm-up of the spine and pranayama (breath meditation). Organic essential oils may be massaged into the soles of the feet before lying down to bathe body and mind in the flow of sound currents, releasing all tension as symphonic waves travel over and through you. Gong & Tibetan Bowl Therapy are highly recommended as a complementary treatment for managing pain, addiction and side effects of chemotherapy and other drugs. Awaken with gentle stretching to feel refreshed and centred.
*Please advise the teacher of health conditions before class. Wear comfy clothes to practice in, a scarf and drinking water. Yoga mats & blankets are provided.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A SESSION?
Group Sound Therapy classes run for 45 minutes, come dressed comfortably to lie down in. Private therapy sessions take between 45-60 minutes and may be customized to treat specific issues & symptoms as you lie down on a massage table (for Gong Therapy) or padded tatami mat (for Tibetan Bowls). Chairs, yoga mats and blankets are provided for modified positions to suit your comfort. In certain cases, regular follow-up treatments may be recommended.

HOW TO PREPARE YOURSELF?
- Wear comfortable clothes to lie down in
- Always inform the teacher of any medical conditions or injuries prior to class
- Be punctual or try to arrive 10 mins ahead of time.
- If you are late, come in as quietly as possible, then sit and centre yourself with long deep breaths before joining the Sound Bath.
